First bitchy, elitist confession. All the current NMH RPs out there are frankly disappointing. The dreamwidth RP is full of pretentious, old writers who are there just to wave around their e-boners and produce walls of dull text. One character is already taking over the game, and he’s not even canon for Christ’s sake. The DA one pretty much goes nowhere after fucking forever. The mods at the Tumblr one are just lazy as fuck. For such an interesting game, all the RPs are just awful.

I get irked when people claim that Grasshopper Manufacture was always known for being over-the-top. That trend didn’t start until No More Heroes, which also put GhM on the map. Killer7, FSR, Silver Case, Contact, Michigan - these are all unique and experimental, yes, but not over-the-top.

The person who plays Garcia Hotspur on Tumblr gives him so much character. I would have liked to see that in Shadows of the Damned. Same goes for Paula.
Chills went down my spine when Sylvia Christel told Shinobu in No More Heroes 2 Desperate Struggle “You can not kill me, silly.”
I originally only got No More Heroes because it was one of the few M-rated games on the Wii, and because Travis’ VA, Robin Atkin Downes, also plays The Medic in Team Fortress 2. I didn’t expect the game to be that funny, stylish, or such a great usage of the Wiimote. I can’t wait to play Suda51’s other games. (Bonus dirty secret: I wish he’d thrown Travis into “Forbidden” mode on the PS3 port. Throw female & gay gamers a bone, please?)

While it’d be great to see Travis in the bonus viewer, you can run around as shirtless Travis in all the games I believe. ;)
I already felt bad for him, but the No More Loser comic made me really love Skelter Helter. The poor guy got caught up in something way bigger than him. (Also his hipster look was adorable.)
